IVA Fees Explained
Transparent information about the costs involved in an Individual Voluntary Arrangement.
Important: IVA fees are taken from your monthly payments - you do not pay anything extra on top. The fees are agreed upfront and included in your IVA proposal.
What Are the Costs of an IVA?
An IVA involves professional fees for the licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP) who manages your arrangement. These fees are regulated and must be disclosed before you agree to anything.
Nominee's Fee
This covers the initial work of preparing and presenting your IVA proposal to creditors. It typically ranges from £1,500 - £3,000 and is paid from your initial monthly contributions.
Supervisor's Fee
Once your IVA is approved, the IP becomes the supervisor. Their ongoing fees are typically 15-20% of your monthly payments. This covers distributing funds to creditors, annual reviews, and handling any variations.
Disbursements
Small additional costs such as bonding fees, credit searches, and filing fees. These are typically £200 - £500 in total and taken from your early payments.
